Today, the same young man returned with the same ring not to have it sized, but to have it refunded... his confidence had all but faded away, his hopes and dreams were shattered, his plans for the future razed. The young man disguised his emotions with witty quips and a friend taking pictures, but they were wispy veils, powerless to hide his crushing sense of dejection from the Shane Company employees. Even the camera could see through it.
