Sycamore Tree

Now grows the sycamore, a mighty tree,
A slow-growing tree: for so long will it be vulnerable, at
the mercy of storms and animals passing by,
Mere inches taller each year and slightly more enduring,
It waits patiently, growing,
Adding ring by ring of the hardest wood, and soon it may be
the mightiest in the wide expanse of the forest,
For the properly nurtured sycamore is a mighty tree, an
enduring tree, a forgiving tree, a loving tree
That will not be brought down.
How I treasure and adore the Mighty Sycamore!
